Do You Value Yourself? If you do, you’ll approach business negotiation from a place of abundance, not scarcity!
It’s a hard concept to get your head around, especially in the early days when you may not be earning much and you are desperate to get started, but if you don’t value yourself first, nobody will value you.
It’s actually easier to price yourself according to your skills and experience in the beginning, when you have nothing to lose. Price has nothing to do with securing the sale, it’s all about the value you know you bring to the other person in the deal.
You can’t get skills cheap. Skills and knowledge and experience just can’t be bought cheap, UNLESS the person selling them either lives in a different country where the standard of living is much, much lower OR where they don’t value themselves.
This is why it’s so important to constantly work on yourself in business (working on your personal development, healthy self esteem and practising the Law Of Attraction at all times)
Then, when going into a business negotiation, where the other party wants to get something for nothing, you have to weigh up not only the cost of your time, but the opportunity cost to your own business.
