I was watching a great video the other day by the guy who wrote The Story Grid, and he’s had an apprentice writer he’s working with, Tim Grahl and they’ve been running a podcast and every week Tim brings some writing and Shawn critiques it live on the podcast, it’s very brave.
And I was thinking about this whole thing about validation, how I don’t care what people think of me. I don’t need other people’s validation. When I had an idea for a new writing orientated business, writingclubworld.com, I was able to get it up and running within three weeks.
One of the ladies in my write club said, “You’re so brave, I’d have had to get “that absolutely perfect before I made it live.” And I thought, I don’t need anyone else’s validation. I’m self-validated.
So how can you in your, become self-validated and stop worrying about what other people think, especially people who haven’t got a hope in hell of doing what you’re trying to do?
