When you are invited to spend eight days in Las Vegas with 110 of the most brilliant minds in your industry, what do you say? YES!! obviously! With speakers like Marisa Peer, Joe Sugarman and Marianne Williamson who had just smashed her requirements for running for President in 2020, the whole event was a massive high.
Bowling, welcome party at Liberace’s Mansion, a Desert Party, yacht trip round Lake Las Vegas, karaoke and Thai food, 3 x days masterminding and learning from each other, then a Farewell Party at the EverMentor Mansion, what a week I had.
What’s the point of Masterminds though? Nicola share’s what she got out of it all in the middle section of this week’s vzine.

Okay, so, hi everyone, it’s Nicola here, and I’m back from Las Vegas as you can see, back in the sleepy house in Greece. Which is quite a relief. I can tell you, it’s been quite full on. Eight days of partying. Both in the evenings, and also either partying or masterminding in the day. It was hard work but we had some time between to enjoy the luxury, the luxury bedrooms and bathrooms in the Palm Springs Hotel and I was on the 30th floor, but I could still hear the pool party at the KAOS open day and night club. So, that took a bit of getting used to at the weekends, I can tell you.
If you want a completely full report on what happened in Vegas and everything I got out of it, I’m going to give you a little rundown in a minute. Then you will need to check out episode 227 of ownitthepodcast.com, which will be coming out in a week or so, because we go into it in quite some detail in that. So, in the mean time, I’m going to give you a little rundown in the middle section, and I hope you enjoy it.
Let’s get on with the show, shall we?
Okay, so as always, what I want to do in these middle sections is to tell you what I’ve been up to, and what I’ve learned and what you can take away from that to apply in your business. So, I’ve been on this amazing mastermind in Las Vegas, and it was put together originally to thank a bunch of people who helped my friend Andy get his books off the ground initially, the Bug Free Mind books. And it’s grown into much more than that, because they really did such a great job on the first mastermind event that people really just wanted to come back year after year.
So what’s it all about then?
We spent a few days getting together, and getting to know each other, and reacquainting ourselves with people we’ve met before. We spent a lot of time just talking about what we’ve been doing over the last year or so. And then after a couple of days of that, of parties and lunches and just hanging out, we go and we have three days of masterminding, and that involves all sorts of things. From people speaking, like Alex Mandossian, Perry Belcher, if you know any of these names, they’re really well known in the internet marketing space.
And then from personal development world we had some of the people who were attending, and some of the people who were sponsoring events. And then we had some really big names like Joe Sugarman, who is a legendary ad man, and who’s now making millions selling blue light deflecting glasses. So if you see people around with those orange glasses on, Joe’s responsible for those.
And two of the other speakers were Marisa Peer, who is an incredibly high level therapist. She works with royalty and pop stars and movie stars. And she was speaking for us, and she’s a big cheese in the Mindvalley community, and I was really looking forward to her speaking, and I wasn’t disappointed either. And also Marianne Williamson, who has got an amazingly powerful presence in the personal development world, but who is now running for the US presidency. So she was really interesting to listen to, because she was a really interesting combination of personal development and the law of attraction, and all of that business. Mixed with someone who is gearing up to go into the political arena, and run on a platform of truth and not medicating children, and not using, big pharma being forced to be more transparent, and ditto big agriculture as well. So, she was absolutely fascinating to listen to.
So, what can you learn from all of this?
Well I came away totally inspired and totally excited, and fired up about my business, and full of confidence again, because I presented three times, I did three 20 minute presentations back to back. And I got such an incredibly good reaction to the whole Be Everywhere Online system and concept, that I’m really feeling pretty fired up about that again now. Sometimes you just need someone who you respect and like to tell you that you’re doing good work, and that really helps.
So, how can you take away from this? I would highly highly recommend that you try and put a mastermind together. It can just be four or five people that you know, like, trust. It could be other business people in your town, and you get together in real life. You could do it virtually by way of monthly Zoom meetings. But you’ve got to be in noncompeting spaces I think, so that you can all not be scarce and worried that people are going to ripoff your ideas, and use ’em in the same field that you’re in. But the cross-pollination of learning what everybody’s doing in different fields is a really really powerful thing.
So, a good book on this is the Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. He was the first one to come up with the concept of masterminding. So, recommend you go and check that out, and recommend you start thinking about how you can create mastermind experiences in your business. .
So, what’s on the blog and the podcast? You may be asking yourself. Well, let’s have a look now. On the podcast ownitthepodcast.com/225, yes 225, we’re talking about fun and easy marketing. We’re talking about how you’re much more likely to stick to a marketing schedule if the components of that marketing schedule are fun and easy for you.
As you know, I outsource a lot of my marketing. These are the most difficult bits for me, the talking to camera, but once that’s done, I don’t have to do anything else for the rest of the week. So I have to force myself to do it. Now, today, as usual, my camera ran out of battery, just because I got into it and I finally geared myself up, planned what I was going to say, and the camera ran out of battery. So check that out first. Make sure your camera’s not about to let you down, just when you gear yourself up to do it.
Episode 98 of the vZine, I was inviting everybody to join the Be Everywhere Online challenge. Which is now underway and closed, I’m afraid, for new participants this time around. But I do do them about three times a year. So please keep your eyes out, and make sure you’re on the mailing list, open our emails, because I clear off people who don’t open our emails every 12 emails. If you don’t open one in 12, I’m afraid you are removed from the list. So do make sure you’re on the list, you open our emails and you click through occasionally, just to make sure you stay current. And then that’s really cool, because you’ll find out about the next Be Everywhere Online challenge. But go and check out all the details on episode 98 of the vZine.
That’s it for me. See ya soon, bye.
