This is the one day of the year, when around mid-afternoon, your thoughts may turn to your next year, 2018, and how to make sure it rocks. Or at least, that it’s more successful than last year.
This may be around the areas of health, relationships or finances – those are the top 3 for most people.
I can’t help you much with the first two, but I can certainly help you with the last one.
One of the best ways to improve your finances (or provide for your future) is to start a part time business online.
Or learn how to market your existing business better online. This is where the quick wins are, btw. If you already have a proven product to market match, you could clean up this year, leaving your competitors in the dust.
I’ve already started planning my 2018, by having lunch with one of my favourite mentors (and he paid!) where we reviewed the year, what worked, what didn’t, then he gave me some typically straight talking advice.
Then we hatched a plan whereby we could actually work together on a project this year.
I’ve started putting that plan into action already by thinking “who could I get to do that bit?” and then firing off a couple of emails so that when the members of my team start work tomorrow, they know what I want to focus on first!
This is very different to a few years ago when every new idea I had felt like a mountain to climb in terms of my own “to do” list. Every idea just felt like more work.
Now instead of having a new idea to move my business forward, then adding it to my “to do” list, I immediately think about who in my team can do that bit, that bit and that bit.
That’s the secret to successful outsourcing, chunking it all down into tasks within a project.
I can’t tell you how much better that feels. I do the thinking, and they do the work.
I can’t tell you how much faster my business progresses because I’m not trying to do everything myself.
I can’t tell you how often I kick myself, thinking of all those years I didn’t outsource like this.
It means that, even if you are in a full-time job, you can be thinking about your online business on your commute into work, have a great idea, fire some instructions off by email (or into Slack) and by the time you get home, it’s done already.
Or you have an idea before you go to sleep, fire an outline of the “desired outcome” off by email / Slack to someone on the other side of the world, then you wake up to find it’s already done.
In my Clicks & Leads Academy, I can not only support you to come up with great ideas, help you decide how to prioritise them, but I can also support you around how to find and hire a team of outsourcers, who work on each part of a task for you, bringing their specialist skills to your table.
You don’t even have to pay them on retainer, you just pay for the actual work done.
At around $10-20 per hour. And because they are specialists, they are fast!
This week I am off to meet my other mentor for lunch, on Thursday, then I get back on the plane to Greece. And with the rain here in the UK at the moment, I’m really looking forward to that!
Have a lovely lazy day (or make time for some reflection and some plans to improve your 2018 and really make it rock)
