I’d like to talk about how to think about the next logical thing to offer that customer, because once someone’s a customer of yours, and they trust you and they’ve bought something off you, and you’ve hopefully delighted them with whatever it is you’ve sold them, you now need to think, what is it they need next?
What do they most need now to get the most out of what they’ve just bought? And that’s the next logical thing to make an offer on, whether it’s some sort of backup service, whether it’s some sort of training service.
For example, if you’re selling websites, you should certainly be selling a package on the backend where you maintain people’s websites and keep them secure and do perhaps a set number of upgrades for them every month.
So, there’s always something that you can tack on to the back of whatever someone’s just bought and make sure that you look after your customers as well as you can, because otherwise, they’ll be off looking for something else to buy from somebody else.
