Sarah and I spent a couple of hours today in the quiet cool part of the day, working on the Casares website http://www.HolidayRentalCasaresSpain.com, and the Stoupa Property site.
I set up a webinar for 3pm on Wednesday 26th August, to explain the Stoupa Property opportunity, about how you can buy a dream holiday home in Greece, on a “rent to own later2 basis and I’ll create a powerpoint for that while we are here. If you can’t attend live, we will be recording it and those that register can ask questions before, and then watch the recording afterwards. You will be able to book your seat at the webinar at http://www.StoupaProperty.com by the end of today (Friday 7th August). Sarah has also customised the background for Stoupa Property.com on Twitter – follow us at http://www.twitter.com/stoupaproperty
Back to Casares, Spain, we are adding to that website every day for Rona & Adrian – all part of the deal of getting to stay here. I need to take my little FlipVideo out today and do some walking about as pics don’t really capture the amazing atmosphere of the place. The site is already Page 1, Listing 5 in the organic search results for the search term “holiday rental casares spain”, and I’ve just added them to Google local, as the postcard should come while we are here and we can verify the account. Then they should be on Page 1, above the fold.
You can also become a “fan” of both pages on Facebook and the blogs are feeding through onto the Facebook pages. Just visit the blog websites and you will see the Facebook widgets in the sidebar.
We are working in the early mornings, then either going to the beach or hanging out by the municipal pool in the bowl of the town and reading one of the many books I’ve brought with me.
Just finished “Twitter Power” by Joel Comm (excellent, well written, practical), a chick lit book Sarah brought (bloody awful and an insult to my species!), “Rachel’s Holiday” by Marian Keyes (topical, scary, funny and poignant) and I’m about to start Deborah Meaden’s “Common Sense Rules – What You Really Need To Know About Business”.
Tonight I cooked paella (now we have figured out how to work the cooker hob!), and then, after dinner, the girls went to look for boys, the boys went to look for a football, and Sarah and I went to find one of Roger’s recommended restaurants but didn’t succeed although the girls did!
We gave up and had a couple of “normal white wines” in the square, so called because of my laughable attempts to order two cold Vinho Verde’s. The waiter spoke english and said “would you like two normal white wines?” by which he meant white rioja. Eeuuuuuuuuu, not really but ok, if there is no other choice. Love red rioja but not white, reminds me of a hilarious dinner at the First Floor Restaurant in Portobello Road…nuff said.
Another late night….I can really see why the Spanish stay up so late…by the time you get back from the pool, shower up, cook dinner….it’s nearly 11pm!
