I wanted to talk to you today about emotions versus facts. This week one of the clients in Clicks and Leads Academy came onto the Zoom call and said that she’d been feeling a little bit blah.
Well we all know what that feels like, don’t we?
She said that she heard my voice in her head, which is always a sign that you’ve got a good coach, so instead of just feeling emotional about how things were going, she went and looked to see if the facts backed her up and of course they didn’t.
The facts showed her that she was actually moving forward quite well and that it was just emotions taking over.
So, I recommend to you that if you’re not sure how you’re moving along, one of the first things you can do is start keeping weekly KPIs – Key Performance Indicators.
Some basic ones that I like to keep are…
- How many visitors have been to my website
- How many new leads
- How many people have looked at my sales pages
- How many people have bought
I can then work out what each visit to my website is worth if people did buy, which in turn tells me how much I can afford to spend on advertising to get more visitors to my website. Hope that helps!
