No! My heart really did sink on this one – Day 13 – because it said that it was time to create an affiliate comparison page and that sounded like a LOT of work.
Michael Dunlop talks about creating one like his page here >>> and before I’d even looked I knew it was going to be a thing of beauty and a wonder to behold – and yep! It was.
Talk about comprehensive! He must have outsourced that one surely?
Then I pulled myself together and thought “Nicola, me old china, you have done a great job of catching up, you’ve been working without your own laptop, you’ve done other things as well and it’s Friday night. Before you can go and have a well deserved glass of wine, and put your feet up, you need to get to Day 14 and then you are right on track. What do these Brighton Business people need to know about digital marketing that you know about, are already an affiliate of, and can write about?”
Immediately a comparison of TotalBusinessCart (the UK arm of 1ShoppingCart) versus aWeber versus Mailchimp came to mind. Building a mailing list is THE single most important thing a business needs to do… so that’s what they need to know about. And if you are going to build a mailing list you need to know where to host it.
Sound of screeching brakes……………………!!
I have to join affiliate programmes as Digital Marketing Brighton or it won’t count.
How long can that take then? Shall we time it?
Hahaha, just under 15 minutes to sign up brand new for aWeber and TotalBusinessCart and to login to Mailchimp because those sneaky buggers don’t pay affiliate commissions, they give services to the value, in lieu. I don’t use Mailchimp but Heather does, so she can get the Chimp Rewards (eeeuuuuuughhhh, how cheesy is that?)
There really is NO EXCUSE! even if I keep trying to manufacture one!
Tally ho! A glass of sauvignon blanc is in sight….
