In the words of Diana Ross, are you “still waiting”…?
No, seriously, I want you to think about it for a few minutes…
Are you still secretly waiting for someone to come and save you?
Or for an extraordinary event to happen, which will all at once make you rich and successful (not to mention thin and happy).
Many of us, brought up on a relentless diet of fairy stories and later, films, have this inner sense that something is going to HAPPEN, something wonderful that will change everything in a nanosecond.
Turn things around.
Make things better.
All in a heartbeat.
I’ll never forget the year, week, day, time that I realised that nobody was coming to save me.
It was just after I’d got married.
I was standing in the front room of our house in Kensal Rise, London and it was late morning. I was restlessly pacing about with a cup of coffee in my hand and I just couldn’t settle.
I stopped in front of the mirror and looked at myself.
Really looked at myself.
I wondered, not for the first time, what was wrong with me.
What was different about THIS brown haired, 5’6″ tall, moderately intelligent woman, that made success so elusive.
I had one child Phoebe, and another was on the way and I’d been pretty focused on encouraging my husband to marry me, as it felt like the last piece of the puzzle that I was missing.
Then we got married and don’t get me wrong, it was a wonderful day and I was very happy.
But it hadn’t changed anything.
He wasn’t the missing puzzle piece, he was an ordinary, wonderful, sexy man, the father of my children, but not an alchemist / wizard / mentor figure.
In short, Irving was no Gandolf.
Or Yoda.
The moment I had that realisation, everything changed for me.
I looked in the mirror and realised that there were other brown haired, moderately intelligent women, 5’6” tall, out there in the world, who were phenomenally successful.
They had started just like I did, with nothing, as babies.
Just like the baby sleeping upstairs.
Just like the baby growing inside me.
They were no more attractive or intelligent than me.
Those successful women had simply learned something that I didn’t know.
I didn’t know what it was, even, but they had to know something different.
And suddenly I knew I could go and find that thing, and learn it too.
I stopped waiting.
I started taking action.
I got off my arse and started looking for the information I needed, the mentors I needed, the tools I would learn to use.
I took action.
Now…..what about you?
Look deep inside yourself and ask yourself if you are waiting.
Waiting to be rescued.
Waiting to be saved.
Waiting to be shown the way.
If you find that you are, I’ve got some good news for you.
The day you look the truth in the face….
The day you take 100% responsibility….
The day you start TAKING ACTION….
That’s the day when your life starts to change.
People will appear, doors will open, opportunities will arrive.
Your life will change faster, for the better, than you can ever imagine.
Why does this happen?
Because you’ll have shown that you are READY.
The “cut of your jib” will change.
The look in your eye.
The way you shake hands.
You’ll be recognised as someone on the road now.
Not just someone standing on the sidelines helplessly.
But you have to take the first step.
If you want to take your business online, or to build an online business (and I have to assume you do because you are here, reading this) then you have to take some action.
You could get on the VIP Waiting List to join my Clicks & Leads Academy so that I can be the first person to help you.
I can’t wait to see what happens next!
Warm regards
Nicola
