After a great week last week, I could have been on a right old downer this issue. I did a product launch that tanked a couple of weeks ago.
Totally tanked.
It happens, I’ve heard, but rarely to me.

I don’t know why it tanked, I got all the elements right, starting with a survey to find out what you really need help with in taking your business online.
I then mailed you all with a link to a free video, using the new techniques that I’ve learned from the home-study course I invested in recently, sharing the results of that survey.
The video highlighted how my product offer addressed all those issue (which it genuinely does!) and added a couple of nice bonuses.
Then I went back to you all and did a second survey, asking how you most like to learn new skills.
I created a new video, sharing the results of that survey (invaluable data for info product creators) and making my offer again.
But this time, I sandwiched my core offer inbetween two amazing free bonuses, both drawn from the results of that survey, and together with the previous bonus gifts already offered, worth 10 x times what my offer cost to invest in.
Results?
Nada.
Not a dicky bird.
Zilch.
OK, so I create a product that addresses your burning issues (that you told me about in a survey) in a way that you love to learn (so you told me in the second survey) and still not a flicker of interest.
Hmmmmm, so was that dismal result proving my secret theory that people lie in surveys?
Who knows……….Perhaps it’s because I give down to earth, real life examples of clients quietly doing amazing things, like quadrupling their income, making £16k extra profit in six weeks, but I don’t have all the ra-ra-ra razmataz testimonials (make $50,000 in 15 minutes!) that some still use on their pages.
I’d rather keep it real, actually, and within the grasp of most ordinary people.
So it’s back to the drawing board on that one.
Well you can’t win ‘em all.
And I did learn a very cool new skill, that of the new style standalone video /audio presentations.
